Museum Guided Tours
Join us on our spring tour of the Museum, exploring the wonders of the natural environment in Yarra Ranges. The 40-minute tour includes an introduction to our temporary exhibition Wonderscope by Clare James, which invites audiences to explore and marvel at the intricate structures and microscopic ecosystems of the natural world.
The guided tour will also introduce our local history exhibition Connections, drawing out stories of the natural world.
The tour will conclude with a peek behind the scenes in our onsite store, to see how the museum acquires and cares for our regional collection. Visitors are free to explore the exhibitions after the tour.
Summer Theme: Summer Travels
Join us on our summer guided tour of the Museum. The 40-minute tour includes an introduction to the museum and our local history exhibition Connections, drawing out stories about summer holidays in the hills and valleys of the region.
The tour will also introduce the temporary exhibition Two Girls from Amoonguna, an ACMI touring exhibition, featuring new works by Arrernte and Southern Luritja artist Sally M Nangala Mulda and Arrernte and Western Arrernte artist Marlene Rubuntja.
The tour will conclude with a peek behind the scenes in our onsite store, to see how the museum acquires and cares for our regional collection. Visitors are free to explore the museum exhibitions after the tour.
