Project Rockit delivers student-led workshops that help schools tackle bullying, cyberbullying and digital wellbeing. Their engaging programs empower young people to build empathy, resilience and leadership online. Through interactive sessions and real conversations, students explore what positive digital citizenship looks like in their everyday lives.
Two Project Rockit presenters run an interactive digital citizenship workshop for primary school students seated in a school hall, using a projector screen and presentation equipment while students listen and participate.

Overview

Project Rockit is an Australian youth-driven organisation helping schools address bullying, cyberbullying and digital wellbeing in ways that genuinely connect with students.

Founded by young leaders, the organisation believes the most powerful conversations about online behaviour happen when students hear from people close to their own age. Their workshops are delivered by trained young presenters who create an open and relatable environment where students feel comfortable discussing real online experiences.

Project Rockit’s programs focus on building positive digital cultures within schools. Rather than focusing only on rules and consequences, the workshops encourage students to reflect on their role in shaping respectful communities both online and offline.

Sessions explore topics such as:

  • cyberbullying and online conflict
  • digital reputation and social media behaviour
  • empathy and bystander action
  • respectful communication online
  • building positive online communities

Through interactive discussions, storytelling and group activities, students are encouraged to consider how everyday decisions online can affect others. The sessions often mirror the real situations students encounter through group chats, gaming communities and social media platforms.

Programs are designed for both primary and secondary students, with content tailored to different year levels. Schools commonly integrate Project Rockit sessions into wellbeing programs, PDHPE learning areas or whole-school anti-bullying initiatives.

For teachers and school leaders, the value of Project Rockit lies in its authenticity. Students hear directly from young facilitators who understand the platforms, pressures and language of modern online life. This approach often leads to deeper engagement and more honest conversations than traditional classroom discussions about digital behaviour.

Schools can book single workshops, year-level sessions or broader wellbeing programs depending on their needs. Sessions can be delivered in person or online, making the programs accessible to schools across Australia.

For schools looking to strengthen their approach to digital citizenship, online safety and student wellbeing, Project Rockit provides a practical and engaging way to bring these conversations to life.
