Situated on the traditional lands of the Burramatta Darug people, Old Government House holds the prestigious title of being the oldest surviving public building in Australia, as recognized by its World Heritage listing. Constructed by convicts, this historic site served as the decision-making hub of the colony and also functioned as the country residence for the first ten Governors of Australia.
