About place
Examine the work of artists who engage with and respond to Australia’s environment, history and communities.
Students will begin with a reflection on the significance of the MCA site. This will involve looking at ideas around identity, personal experiences across time, and a discussion on diverse perspectives on history.
Students will connect with artworks through playful creative learning strategies in a gallery experience. The program can also be extended with a studio session, where students are able to play and experiment with ideas, techniques and materials considered in their gallery experience.
