GEOGRAPHY
Stage 5 Geography (focus on Biomes) Students will follow a marked trail, discovering various land uses here at Calmsley Hill City Farm. Using a range of fieldwork skills, students will complete a comprehensive workbook (including pre and post-visit work) as they learn about a wide range of subject matter relating to land use Ecosystems and Biomes both here at the farm and in the great Sydney region.
DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY
Stage 4 Design and Tech, students will follow a marked trail discovering various land uses here at Calmsley Hill City Farm. Using a range of fieldwork skills, students will complete a comprehensive workbook (including pre and post-visit work) as they learn about a wide range of subject matter relating to sustainable living, resource usage and modern living.
AGRICULTURE
Our Agriculture program gives students the opportunity to get outside the classroom and explore the operation of a working farm, right on Sydney's doorstep. This program is delivered in a "work and talk" format by one of the Farmers at Calmsley Hill City Farm. With all information relating back to a work book which will be completed in the field, the workbook also includes pre-visit classroom work.

We allow a ratio of one adult (including the teacher) free per 10 students. Entry for any additional adults is at a rate of $18 per person ( GST free).
There will be one tour guide for every group of 25 children. If you require another guide, this can be arranged for an extra charge of $90 per guide.

DAILY SHOWS AND EDUCATION
COW MILKING - 11:00 am & 2:30 pm
Join our friendly farmers as they share information about our dairy cows and milk production with you. Our milking show is a hands-on experience, so why not have a go at milking a cow yourself?
STOCK WHIP SHOW - 12:30 pm
Get a cracking! Learn how and why we use whips on the farm, then watch the farmers show off their stock whip skills. If you're keen, you can even try it yourself!
WORKING DOG SHOW - 1:00 pm
Dogs aren't just great pets and best mates but also fantastic workers. Watch how our farmers work with their dogs to round up sheep and learn how vital working dogs truly are.
SHEEP SHEARING SHOW - 1:30 pm
Have you ever heard the saying Australia rode on the sheep's back? Don't miss this demonstration to learn about the art of shearing and watch our farmers go to work.
KOALA TALK - 2:00 pm
Join us for an educational talk where you will see our koalas up close. Climb into learning about their unique adaptations and behaviours, what threats they face in the wild and how we can make better choices to help.
