Objectives
Calmsley Hill City Farm offers a primary-focused Fieldwork program to assist with student learning objectives, with two distinct parts:
- Paddock Trail (years 3-6): Students will follow a trail through the paddocks of Calmsley Hill. Using fieldwork skills, students will investigate a wide range of subject matter, including Environment, Geography, Sustainability and Development, as well as endangered and unique.
- Sustainable Food (years 3-4): Students follow a trail around the gardens understanding the role of freshly grown vegetable in their diet. Your guide will explain how we use the vegetables we grow on the farm to ensure the health and balanced diet of our farms animals. Students will observe the history of farm equipment with our machinery on site and investigate different ways farmers worked the land.
