The Millthorpe and District Historical Society was formed in May 1964 and the Museum opened in 1965. Adjoining land was purchased in 1970 and 1994 and the complex expanded to what it is today.
Our Museum is made up of a varied collection of items across seven buildings. Please refer to our Complex tab above for further information on the collection.
The society meets on the second Thursday of the month at the Museum at 7:30 pm, new members always welcome.
The Golden Memories Museum has a dynamic education program. We offer a variety of activities and teaching unit ideas for all stages, across a variety of subject areas such as art, science, geography and history. Hands-on activities are a priority.
