Fighter World is an Australian not-for-profit aviation heritage centre at RAAF Base Williamtown, north of Newcastle, New South Wales. It is part of RAAF Aviation and Heritage and is operated with the purpose of preserving the history of fighter operations of the RAAF.
The Fighter World Primary Schools Programme is designed to give you the greatest flexibility in organising your Stage 1 HSIE Transport Excursion. The HSIE Syllabus provides an opportunity for students to explore transport systems in their local area and focus on the benefits and responsibilities of transport use; interconnections between technologies, workers, users and environments and learn about the roles and responsibilities of people who work in services in the community, both paid and unpaid.
Fighter World is an excellent venue to view and explore complex engineering solutions in the application of jet engines, electrical engineering, hydraulic systems, ergonomics, aeronautics, armament, materials and construction.
